Sarah Kurash, DNP, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Sarah Kurash, DNP, MSN-Ed, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who works with patients across the lifespan and diagnostic spectrum.  She has over ten years of experience treating patients across various mental health settings with a particular interest in serious mental illness and forensic mental health.  She obtained her Bachelor's in nursing at CSU-Pueblo in 2013, then went on to complete a Master's in Nursing Education and a post-graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate in 2018 and 2020 respectively.  She has gained several years of experience in treating mental illness via telehealth, hatched out of necessity while finishing her PMHNP certificate at the height of the COVID pandemic.  She recently completed Doctorate of Nursing Practice in spring of 2025.  Sarah particularly enjoys teaching her students and patients and developing trusting relationships where her patients feel empowered to take a partnership approach to navigating their treatment.
