Deb began her nursing career with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Missouri Columbia, gaining unparalleled experience in critical care and vascular access, while also establishing herself as a respected nurse. Currently working as Nursing Faculty and as a Family Nurse Practitioner for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), Deborah is widely known for her interest in working with the LGBTQ community, and care of transgender people expertise. In fact, UCCS is where Deborah conducted her doctoral quality improvement project titled “Improving the Secondary Prevention of the LGBTQ Population”. Deborah completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado Anschutz. Deborah has lived in Colorado since 1994, and enjoys gardening, sewing, making stained glass, walking for exercise, and playing children’s video games.
